Glad to finally showcase this personal project: a detailed model of Iron Man's armor with a custom volumetric smoke simulation.
This was a deep dive into two core pipelines:
Modeling & Detailing: Starting with precise, clean hard-surface topology in Maya to capture the iconic mechanical complexity.
Finishing & FX: Completing materials, lighting, and—most importantly—the dynamic smoke simulation in Blender, to create a sense of overheating systems or a dramatic repulsor blast aftermath.
The goal was to push beyond a static model and inject a moment of narrative tension and physicality using real-time volumetrics.
Software: Autodesk Maya (Primary Modeling), Blender (Final Assembly, Materials, Smoke Simulation, Rendering)

"Sometimes the suit takes the brunt of it."
Presenting my take on the Iron Man armor, focusing on a moment of high stress or system failure, visualized through a custom smoke/steam simulation.
